Our Commitment to Responsible Firearms Training

At Gun Safety and Training, we are committed to providing responsible firearms training to individuals who want to become responsible gun owners. We understand that with gun ownership comes a great deal of responsibility and power, and we want our students to manage this responsibility with care and respect.

With over 25 years of combined experience in firearm safety, education, and responsible training, our program is designed to teach gun owners the fundamentals of safe gun ownership, including the rules and regulations for gun ownership and use in the state they live in.

We stress the importance of avoiding the use of a firearm in a threatening situation if possible. However, if a situation occurs where a firearm is necessary, we actively teach our students proper and legal gun use, and how to manage the situation in a responsible and lawful manner.

In addition to teaching gun safety, we also provide our students with de-escalation skills to avoid potentially dangerous situations. Our goal is to empower our students to become responsible and safe gun owners, while also protecting the rights of individuals by responsibly managing the power of gun ownership.

My Mission to Promote Firearms Safety and Awareness

Lessons Learned in Vietnam and Beyond

My journey into firearms training began when I joined the Army and was taught the fundamentals of small arms safety. As an officer and aerial combat team leader in Vietnam, I was responsible for the safety of my team and the proper use of a heavily-armed helicopter.

Using situational awareness and other skills, I was able to keep my team safe and avoid dangerous situations. After returning from Vietnam, I served as a flight instructor and training manager for a large helicopter company, gaining even more experience in the field of training.

Now, I am eager to share my expertise with others and help them develop the same safety practices that I have. With my qualifications and experience, I am confident that I can offer the best advice and instruction to individuals of all ages.
